1. Getting Started in PDA <Must-read guide>
SysOn Smart Blue use the Bluetooth communication to send the GPS satellite signal to the PDA. So, to use Smart Blue GPS for navigation, the Bluetooth connection and the setting should be complete.

1.1 Bluetooth Connection Guide (In Windows Mobile 5.0)

(1) Turn on the SysOn Smart Blue GPS and the LED light will be blinking. When the it receives the GPS signal the orange LED will be blinking and will be on when the signal is fixed.

(2)In the PDA main screen click the Bluetooth icon in the right bottom of the screen.


(3)Then check in the box to turn on the Bluetooth of PDA.


(4)Then tab select the "Devices" tab and click the "New Partnership..."


(5)The PDA will start to search nearby Bluetooth devices.


(6)The "Smart Blue Mini" will be searched. And the last four letter(8C88) is the unique number for each unit. Select the "Smart Blue Mini" and click "Next"


(7)Enter four numerical zero (0000) as the passkey and click "Next".


(8)Select service for Smart Blue. Check the Serial Port.


(9)You will be able to see that partnership is made between Smart Blue. Then move to the "Com Ports" tab.


(10)Select the "New Outgoing Port" and click the "Next".


(11)Select the "Smart Blue" and click "Next".


(12)You can select the port for the Bluetooth connection. Choose and click the "Finish".


(13)Now you the new partnership is completed with the com port you select in (12). But before you connect it with viewer program or navigation software, the LED light will be blinking.


(14)Please remember the chosen port number(COM7) for later connection.


2. How to use SysOn Viewer program<Useful information>
The SysOn Viewer (SocViewer) program is not essential for using the GPS. With this program you can see the basic position data and check whether the GPS works properly or not.

2.1. Installing the Viewer

(1) Download and unzip the program from our website or form the CD included in the unit package.

(2) There are two folder in the Viewer program depending on th PDA O/S. Choose the right pogram. ( PocketPC 2002, Window Mobile 2003 )

(3) Double click the nstall.exe and choose Yes(Y) like right picture.

(4)There will be message like this, then chick "OK".



(5)When the viewer is installed, you can see the below icon PDA screen.



2.2. Execution



(1) Click to start the SocGPSViewer. (2) Tab the GPS and choose the "Connect Setting..".



(3)Set the Port as the (14) in Getting started in PDA. (4)Set the BaudRate to 38400 and click OK.



(5) When the connection is complete the UTC starts go.
And when it gets the fixed signal the latitude and longitude will shown on the screen

(6) You can see the GPS data in View/GPS Data View screen
